JAPAN CANDY BOX
|
To start off, I want to talk about the bag of ring chips with the evil chili pepper! The funny pumpkin face reminded me of the Kirby All Stars soul meter in Ultimate Choice mode. (Kirby fans you know what I'm talking about!) I live for spicy food! People usually compare my spice level to lava but I can assure you that the packaging is a bit exaggerated.
|
The shape reminds me of calamari and it was more sweet than spicy. Still heavily seasoned and VERY good because I finished the entire bag in just a few minutes and I'm honestly having a hard time remembering the taste while writing this post (˃ᴗ˂)
I was so happy to find this in my box because it's just what I needed to satisfy my intense chocolate craving for the month. I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with Lotte, I believe it is famous in Korea for snacks and other major products.
Two bags for sharing! (*´▽`*)
Unlike traditional Pocky where it has a chocolate coating, these pretzel sticks have a filling inside! What more can I say? It's the best combination.
Koala's March is one of my most loved snacks! The cylinder packaging and graphics are what draws me to it I think. I like to recycle for use in my journals. I'm obsessed with this Halloween edition because our favorite Koala dressed as Dracula is the cutest thing I have ever seen. These cookies are bite-sized and have a sweet filling inside!
I was surprised to see that the cookies had all sorts of different koala prints on them! I thought it was just his cute little vampire costume but there are some with other poses and outfits as well. I'm glad that these were classic chocolate and not a new funky flavor. I know from past experiences that these boxes like to get adventurous sometimes.
I like what they chose for this box, all the Halloween designs are fun and quirky. On the back for this pack, they list different combinations for bubblegum flavors to create. Orange, Strawberry, Grape and Milk.
Simple bubblegum balls! These are pretty much identical to the Marukawa bubblegum sampler pack. My whole childhood...I don't know what they expected from me. Of course I'm just going to dump all of them into my mouth and chew (◡‿◡)
Despite my name being Sugarcoatedkiss, I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I tend to go for savory snacks more often then not. However, these are hands down the best jelly beans! I really love fruity flavors and scents. It seems like this package also offers a formula for some interesting flavors you can get by mixing! Easy resealable bag as well~
The colors are also super vibrant and pretty! (˘⌣˘)♡
This is perfect for ramen lovers! I'm guilty of eating uncooked ramen as a snack when I was younger so I guess having something like this is more acceptable...
The crushed pieces look plain and unseasoned but it's actually very salty and strong in flavor! I think it does a good job mimicking the Maruchan Chicken Flavor ramen pack.
Players who chose Grookey as their starter in Pokemon: Sword and Shield would be very happy with this! His final evolution, Rillaboom is featured on the cover. I wish promotional snacks like these were more accessible in the states!
Yes Rillaboom was shown on the cover but we all know Pikachu is the star no matter what. The more I look at this image, the more they look like burnt chicken nuggets. Don't be fooled though!! These are Pikachu shaped puffy crunchy corn snacks. The chocolate flavor is faint but still very delicious~
Chao..? Is that you? Sorry I almost can't help but to make video game references about everything. I'm sure a few people can agree with me that he resembles a Chao from the Sonic series in disguise!!
It's so sad when the chocolate melts (╥﹏╥) It doesn't look very pleasant but I promise you it was yummy! Tasted just like a fudge brownie~
These monster stamp candies have a more playful purpose where you can lick and actually use it as an actual stamp. It's definitely something that would entertain kids but for me, I kind of just let it sit in my mouth to dissolve („• - •„)
The only frightening thing about these candies is the size...the shape is fun and interesting but please be careful not to break your tooth on one. They have that fizzy cola taste that I LOVE and are very similar to Smarties because of the chalky texture.
This was the HIGHLIGHT of the whole box. I can't tell you how much I love Umaibo. This is a very popular corn snack in Japan that comes in many different unique flavors. The mascot is also a cat who apparently is based on one of my favorite characters, Doraemon. I decided to do some more research on the brand and recently discovered this!
Cheesy poof!! Words cannot describe how flavorful Umaibo is...I think this might be the same flavor that I ordered a 30-pack of a few months back, LOL. Some type of garlic seasoning on top and just overall super satisifying (ó‿ó)
Let me know what you think! Please take the time to leave a comment if you can~
